Patricia Briggs – Storm Cursed

In this powerful entry in the number-one New York Times best-selling series, Mercy Thompson must face a deadly enemy to defend all she loves….

My name is Mercedes Athena Thompson Hauptman, and I am a car mechanic.

And a coyote shape-shifter.

And the mate of the Alpha of the Columbia Basin werewolf pack.

Even so, none of that would have gotten me into trouble if, a few months ago, I hadnt stood upon a bridge and taken responsibility for the safety of the citizens who live in our territory. It seemed like the thing to do at the time. It should have only involved hunting down killer goblins, zombie goats, and an occasional troll. Instead, our home was viewed as neutral ground, a place where humans would feel safe to come and interact with the fae.

The reality is that nothing and no one is safe.As generals and politicians face off with the Gray Lords of the fae, a storm is coming, and her name is Death.

But we are pack, and we have given our word.

We will die to keep it.

Wow, this book. Non stop action.
We finally seem to be in a place where most of the relationships seem to be ironed out well enough to focus the majority of the book on the plot and the overall world that Briggs has created.

Ill be honest, ever since the Christie book debacle, Ive been somewhat struggling with the Mercy Thompson series. Dont get me wrong, I was still enjoying the books, just somehow felt that they werent as captivating as the previous ones.

But oh my, Storm Cursed blew my reservations right out of the water. This book is clever and funny and intriguing and simply so very alive. I loved every second of it and almost read it in one go..

Lorelei King is great, as always. She has perfected the voices for each and every one of our beloved characters. Hands down, one of my favorite female narrators.

Get. This. Book. Now.
And be prepared to be unable to stop, once you started 😉
